Refurbishment and part new-build redevelopment of an existing mixed-use building to increase asset value, comprising the upgrade of a ground-floor retail unit and the conversion of three derelict upper floors into four one-bedroom private rental flats. The scheme includes a new rear extension and the selective demolition of later 1980s additions to introduce a central lightwell, improving daylight and external amenity to the residential units. The project sits within a conservation area and was carefully developed in close consultation with the local conservation officer to retain the building’s original character.
